  • Still great, stop your whining losers

It still amazes me that a handful of disgruntled d bags are so compelled to trash a show "they used to like" because it isn't exactly like it was over a decade ago. They could save themselves some time and frustration and just watch something else or watch episodes from years ago. The rest of us will continue to enjoy watching the Mythbusters tackle movie physics, viral videos and tall tales with ingenuity and humor.

The plane boarding & bite the bullet ep is not a season 16 ep. It’s a repeat of a prior episode.

I purchased the season pass, so why are you forcing me to purchase the final episode of the season separately?

To Dabrainz: In regards to your review i would agree for the most part, i do miss the scientific points and experiments that used to be illustrated in previous shows/seasons. BUT, im going to say that the most likely reason why the show is looking more toward hollywood myths/ spectacles is because maybe the show is running out of myths/scientific material to base their shows off of. Have you noticed how the later seasons have much less episodes than the older seasons did, i mean season 15.... was only 8 episodes versus season 3 which had many more, and im going to assume that this season we are on now will have no more than 7-8. Its very sad but i think MythBusters is in its last days, i hope im wrong, because it is a great show and the cast are great people. Hope they try to come up with new myths to keep it going.
  • This show “was” good.

The show used to be a very good one. Interesting myths and entertaining hosts. Now they seem to be grasping for myths and missing and now that they’ve let Tori, Grant, and Kari go and won’t be in season 17? They’ve lost a fan and customer.
  • A reflection of the mind of Society

In my own flawed opponion and understanding, What i see the mythbusters doing with their focus on modern hollywood myths is more akin to a reflection to the current state of mind of the american people. Many americans believe hollywood, thinking that all they show is acurate and can happen. This notion of testing these things is in the very nature of the mythbuster's show in an effort to stay rellavant in today's times and I for on, applaud them for it. There are thousands of myths out there in popular culture, and millions more from around the globe. But you have to think, how many people would watch an eppisode to see if wemon got fair skin from eating a diet of nothing but eel meat for a month compared to if the things shown in blockbuster A hold up to real life? We as an audience forget the actual cost of testing many of these myths. back before we were expecting dozens of episodes, and back then, it was cheeper, now production costs have gone up so the drop in episode count is understandable if one takes a step back and looks at the larger picture behind the big picture. Unfortunately not everyone's capable of doing so.
  • Yet another show going astray!

This show was once upon a time, a show focused on real myths and not "Hollywood" generated myths. I know that there is a strong attachment among the crew to "Hollywood", but that is not what the show was original about. As with most shows nowadays this one as strayed far and wide from it original roots. I am not against change and exploring other myths, but the fact is that blowing things up, shooting things, and crashing things seems to have become the main focus of the show, and the true science experiments are slowy being phased out in favor of spectacles. It is still a entertaining show and I still think the crew is great but some of the old style that made the show unique and amazing is gone.
