Waiting for Lightning

Waiting for Lightning, the story of visionary skateboarder Danny Way, who attempted to jump China’s Great Wall on a skateboard and created a new movement in sport. As a young boy from a broken home in Vista, CA, no one would have ever imagined that Way’s passion for skateboarding would one day bring him and his creation, a ramp of prodigious and dangerous proportions, across many cultural and ideological boundaries to attempt the impossible. Waiting for Lightning is a film about how much abuse the body can sustain, how deep you have to dig to survive the betrayals of family, and how high and far dreams can fly.In association with DC Shoes, a company co-founded by Danny’s brother, Damon Way, the film features interviews by action sports legends such as Tony Hawk, Rob Dyrdek, Laird Hamilton, Rodney Mullen, Travis Pastrana, Matt Hoffman and Ken Block.
