Description

Disaster strikes on Aug. 5, 2010, as a copper and gold mine collapses in Chile, trapping 33 men underground. With more than 2,000 feet of rock in their way, members of a rescue team work tirelessly for 69 days to save the seemingly doomed men. Beneath the rubble, the miners begin an epic quest to survive, contending with suffocating heat and the need for food and water. With family, friends and the rest of the world watching, it becomes a race against time and a test of the human spirit.

  • Pretty poorly acted survival movie

    I didn't remember anything about this movie and beyond that this film is dumb, poorly acted and some what is fantastic but bad. But all of the actors did a good job staying alive and together and each of the underground miners try to get out and it's hailrious.

    excellent. only negative....it should have been in spanish with english subtitles. And this, coming from a US citizen that doesn't speak spanish. It took place in Chile, involving chileans, who speak spanish.....

    The film captured the courage and commitment to each other the miners had. I thought the acting was well done, especially the miners. I thought the music was excellent and captured the feel of the culture and took you there.

    This is a really, really great movie. One of the best I've seen in quite a while. For me, a great movie is one that inspires me to be to be a better person than I was before and this one did that for me. What I liked about it was all the people that came together, never gave up hope and never quit even when the odds were against them. It's a very good reminder to all of us.
