Description

Bonding over their love of music, three grade schoolers from Brooklyn spend their weekends playing heavy metal/speed punk in Times Square as “Unlocking the Truth." When the band's internet fame explodes and the music industry comes calling, Malcolm, Jarad and Alec feel like anything is possible, but are soon confronted with the realities that come with being rockstars. BREAKING A MONSTER chronicles the first year as the band goes from three kids just playing the music they love, to the very adult world of touring, managers and a $1.8 million record contract – all in pursuit of living out their heavy metal dreams.

Did not get anything out of this documentary, kids are really too young to have any deep insights talented as they are, the mother and manager are great but not interesing enugh to support a full documentary, was more of a promotional tool.

You don't find to many black kids that love metal music. The majority are into hip-hop, rap and anything else close to that genre. Heck, I know a lot of white kids that are into the same type of music so to me music isn't racial. It's practically the only thing that hasn't been made racist but give it time. That said this movie was kinda boring. So they had a video that went viral.......so did the lady with the Chewbacca mask and people went nuts over that crazy woman so why not offer HER a contact of some sorts?? The movie was just lame though it did have some decent acting. I agree with the persons comment that is first on the review list however their grammar is atrocious. It's not "they're video went viral".......it's "THEIR video went viral!" If you are going to bust on someone at least make sure you don't sound like an illiterate fool.

As an adult, I respect and am happy they like metal and play it well. But this was boring, and I would not even consider buying their music. There are local bands out there that sound light years better than these kids. They're video went viral. Okay....next.
