film hit right on the nail the complexities. i worked at LAWP ans that wonderful pipeline from apple valley which is parched desert now. can’t cut down the trees fast enough to keep fire danger away. its a rigged systems, and a lot of people duffle when water gets better prices out the tap versus farming usage! history repeating itself with a socialist government rigged for the rich

As a resident of the Northern Sacramento Valley and former L.A. home girl, I have mixed views on state water. I've spent a lot of time explaining that most of Northern California water never makes it to L.A. Now I can explain exactly where it ends up, in the private hands of a billionaire in his Kern County Water Bank. The deceitful actions of the power brokers didn't surprise me, that seems to be the model in the world of commodities. Giving greedy water buyers 20+ years through SGMA to pump our aquifers dry is probably just what they asked for in the legislative process. If this well-documented expose were widely distributed, the uproar of the public might well cut that timetable substantially. We can only hope.
