Description

Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin team up as lifelong buddies Willie, Joe and Al, who decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow for the first time in their lives when their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty.     Three of my favorite actors can't save this movie. If you are a fan of the original 1979 version, then most likely you aren't going to like this version. If you haven't seen the original, then you don't know any better. The original had heart. It made you care about what the characters were going through in old age. The remake has none of that. It's just a movie about three old guys robbing banks.

    I was expecting more from this cast of some of my favorite actors. The plot was OK, the talent was great, but the story line got rather long and the comedy a bit stale after awhile. Overall, I give it three yawns. Save your $$.
