I’ve seen Woody Harrelson in a great deal of movies. I think this is one of his best! These normally aren’t my kind of movies, but gave into the wife’s request and watched it. Have to say I truly enjoyed it.

Listen, the actors in this are amazing and do a wonderful job; however the movie is extremely watered down compared to the book. I realize that movies can’t fit in every detail, but for a two hour movie it felt empty. With this cast and this book the film had the potential to be amazing, but fell short

I give the overall movie 4 stars because I read the book and the movie just doesn't compare. The movie skipped on so many parts of her life that I thought was really important to truly know her story and feel what she went through. If you're planning to watch the movie or already have, please read the book. The book truly sucked me into her life and it was like I was in her shoes and could feel her pain and happiness. However, the movie did pick up towards end and made you feel something. It's definetely a much watch, just as much as the book is a must read!

I watched the movie first, not realizing I bought the book for my son’s college English class. So of course I had to read the book as well. The books is definitely more detail of the deep & disturbing childhood they grew up in. I then had to youtube Jeanette Walls, watched many videos of interviews & there’s a part were she states how she wrote the book in 6wks but spent 5yrs rewriting certain parts of the book because she wanted to stay true to what happened. I love how she says that although her dad never built them the Glass Castle he gave her much more...“Hope & A Dream for the Future”

This movie was thought provoking, encouraging, fun, and adventurous. I was laughing and crying all together. Brie Larson, Ella Anderson, Naomi Watts, and Woody Harrelson have outdone themselves! I recommend this movie to all.

I love the cast and the movie on its own would be fine, but following the book; it’s just too far off. Parts are inner twined and changed, much too much is left out; and the book lends a much better light into how hard of a life the Walls kids had, where he movie really makes light of that.

I will always love the book. However, the movie is just as amazing! I was so happy when I saw who the actresses and actors were. Well done!
