I thought the first Daddy's Home was very funny--surprisingly so, actually. Number 2 was absolutely horrible. I am not a film aficionado, by any stretch of the imagination, but I actually found myself talking about how bad the editing was. Nothing made sense. Don't waste your time or money.
  • Not worth it.

Cringy until the very end, this star filled flick flops on all fronts.
  • A hidden gem!

I never saw the first film, I do not plan on seeing it, and of this date I still haven't. I agreed to go to the movie, as my nephew really wanted to go and it was Christmas time with family just hanging out,, so I agreed to go with him. I knew going in it was probably going to be a dud. But I was pleasantly surprised, I think it was one of Will Ferrell's best performances. The character he plays has moments similiar to the characters he has played before in Old School, SNL, and ELF. But when he breaks out in song at the movie theatre singing "Let Them Know It's Christmas Time, Feed The World" I've never laughed so hard, Ferrell was brilliant! Yes it is your typical holiday feel good film with little substance and story, but highly entertaining and I surprisingly enjoyed it very much!
