Nunavut, circa 1913. Kuanana returns from caribou hunting with his son to find his family slaughtered and his wife and daughter kidnapped. With the guidance of his father’s spirit helper, the loon Kallulik, father and son set off to reunite with their family. Inuit director Zacharias Kunuk returns with another unique work, an Arctic Western.
