From Up on Poppy Hill

This is my favorite studio ghibli film. From the music to the story and voice actors, it is right up there with the very best.

A beautiful story full of discovery and emotion. Like the fact that life sometimes gives you that nudge in a new direction in unexpected ways.

It is a very pure movie and does a good job of giving people and idea of Japan around that time definitely worth A watch

Stop giving one-star reviews, while whining about the original Japanese versions not being included! You’re bringing down the overall score, which these films don’t deserve, because you’re not bothering to read iTunes’ description, which states under extras that the original Japanese language version of EVERY Ghibli film is included with HD purchase!! I’ve purchased all but maybe three of the Ghibli films available via iTunes, and I can assure you that if you choose “Extras” from the play menu, you’ll find the Japanese version included. These films aren’t under license to iTunes and Studio Ghibli, but typically a third party—n this case Shout Factory—so they have no control over what’s available. Just be happy that Ghibli is available digitally at all! From Up On Poppy Hill is one of Ghibli’s most underrated releases, and one of my favourite animated films of all time. Beautifully executed, scored and written, it’s a classic. Get this in your collection!

How very lame of Studio Ghibli to not include the original audio track.

Poppy Hill is one of our favorite Studio Ghibli films. I’ve been complaining for years that they don’t do digital, finally!!!
