Description

A criminal mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of his father, an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel "Zeke" Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.

  • Worst Saw Movie (And That is Saying Something)

From the horrible acting to lazy storytelling this is a film that should be ashamed to call a Saw movie and I by no means defend any of the originals (except the first film by James Wan) as they are all pretty terrible films but this is like a direct to video ripoff of the Saw films with Chris Rock being held against his will until he completes filming. Just watch Fargo Season 4 if you want to see him actually try.

Listen forget about the ovther reviews I loved it however the reason i give this movie 3 stars it’s because it’s a good movie but a bad saw movie a flew reasons why I feel like cris rock was trying but I didn’t like some of his acing now some of it was really good but some of it was bad and the killer revel was predictable the traps were ok some of them are good then others but the rest of the acting was good if you’re were wondering the Voice of the killer I couldn’t get used to some sense didn’t make sense and the but a lot of good like the rest of the acting some of the traps and ovther things but all in all it’s a good movie but with a flew problems

This is the worst movie of the franchise! I’d love to get both my money and time wasted watching this horrible horrible movie!
  • Not bad, but nowhere near what it could’ve been

First, let me just say that the political aspect is so poorly written that it isn’t anti-cop. The cops in this movie are one-sided bad guys with no other character development solely so they get killed off with no remorse. It isn’t “woke” and even if it tries to be, no one would side with the cops in this. People who are pro-police would say, “These are the people who make all cops look bad. They get what they deserve.” The ACAB crowd would love this, however. The traps in this movie are great. Much much much much much better than Jigsaw’s traps. My favorite is the finger trap. They could’ve used one or two more as the movie goes a bit between the first and second trap, but the story is generally fun to watch even if it’s poorly written. This plays like a poor imitation of Se7en at its worst. There is a great movie here, but the way it glosses over the police brutality and lacks any sort of depth so it can get to the trap scenes prevent it. The mystery is a whodunnit that is EXTREMELY predictable, and the killer reveal is not even a big reveal but plays as more of a “yeah, it’s this person.” Regardless, there’s a lot of fun to be had and the traps keep you hooked. Not the best entry in the franchise, but miles and miles ahead of Jigsaw and Saw 3D. The best since Saw VI.
  • Made this on cheap just to trash cops

Another woke crazy lib~view point. They said we need to film a movie now making all cops killer thieves and the last thing they decided was to use the saw movie platform, probably flipped a coin. The message? I guess every cop just starts shooting anyone they encounter then pockets the victims money. Never mind that audio and video is always rolling. I can’t believe people exist that actually believe this garbage. I’m tired of paying for it

The acting was horrible. It wasn’t anti-cop, it was pro-karma, even the dirty Black cop got judged. The acting was horrible. The ending I liked. Wait for the 99-cent rental, no rush here.
  • A nice Saw side story

This is NOT as bad as everyone is saying. Chris Rock is a surprisingly competent dramatic actor and the movie is just enough like Saw to satisfy that itch. No, it is not a numbered Saw film, just a fun one off movie set in that universe.
