Not nearly as good as the first one just like most sequels. Took too many chances with offensive stunts like juggling babies and little brother bullying. Yeah, it’s a cartoon, but it still has to entertain people. On a positive note, the CGI was amazing; otherwise, I would have given it 2 stars. On a negative note, my wife fell asleep 3 times. Oh well. Maybe 3 will be better.

The real problem with this is they kept it a $19.99 *rental* for a couple months. I refused to rent the thing, since it was a blatent ploy to increase the revenue. My daughter likes to watch movies like this multiple times, so I waited until they finally put the movie up for sale. At that, I probably should have waited till the price dropped to $15 or so. The movie itself was predictably full of delightful humor and will be enjoyable for adults and for kids at the same time. Ranked against the first movie, it is better in some ways, and not so much in others. In terms of the characters, I think the actors and animators were having a blast. The fun they were having just shines through. In terms of story, it was a little stretched and tried to cover a little too much material, maybe? In any case, I think it is worth buying and adding to your collection.
