Description

For over fifty years, Judy Blume’s classic and groundbreaking novel Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret. has impacted generations with its timeless coming of age story, insightful humor, and candid exploration of life’s biggest questions. In Lionsgate’s big-screen adaptation, 11-year-old Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) is uprooted from her life in New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, going through the messy and tumultuous throes of puberty with new friends in a new school. She relies on her mother, Barbara (Rachel McAdams), who is also struggling to adjust to life outside the big city, and her adoring grandmother, Sylvia (Kathy Bates), who isn’t happy they moved away and likes to remind them every chance she gets.

Saw this with all my girl family and we laughed so hard. The way things are going all around the world, you need this laughter. Best comedy bringing your youth back and boy did a lot what Judy Blume describe, happened to all of us!

Not my favorite story of Judy Blume. Her Fudge book series were entertaining and fun.

This movie is very good and I recommend it for young girls to learn more about their bodies changing and to not spread rumors about what people do in school.

I don’t know what conservative idiots are giving this movie a bad review, but don’t listen to them. One of the best of the year and an incredible adaptation that delivers its subjects with tact unseen before. There is real truth and earnest meaning present that everyone can appreciate. Just because this movie talks about puberty doesn’t mean it’s inappropriate. I’m fact, I’d say it’s a fantastic way to introduce the topic in households. Not only is this a fantastic movie but it’s a great teaching tool. And so is the book of the same name… so just watch it already!
