For over fifty years, Judy Blume’s classic and groundbreaking novel Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret. has impacted generations with its timeless coming of age story, insightful humor, and candid exploration of life’s biggest questions. In Lionsgate’s big-screen adaptation, 11-year-old Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) is uprooted from her life in New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, going through the messy and tumultuous throes of puberty with new friends in a new school. She relies on her mother, Barbara (Rachel McAdams), who is also struggling to adjust to life outside the big city, and her adoring grandmother, Sylvia (Kathy Bates), who isn’t happy they moved away and likes to remind them every chance she gets.

Fun and interesting take on opposing religious views inside families. With a coming to womanhood throughout. Overall a very good and enjoyable movie.

Saw this with all my girl family and we laughed so hard. The way things are going all around the world, you need this laughter. Best comedy bringing your youth back and boy did a lot what Judy Blume describe, happened to all of us!

Not my favorite story of Judy Blume. Her Fudge book series were entertaining and fun.

I remember judy blume and this book. this movie was a great spin off to the book. great acting by everyone and kudos to the young girls. this may seem corny to some however life is short so make each day count. a lot of laughs and loved kathy bates and to all the rest. a must watch for evry young girl and friends. brings back the odd memerories that you will never forget and will laugh to remember.

This movie is very good and I recommend it for young girls to learn more about their bodies changing and to not spread rumors about what people do in school.
