Creativity is what marks us out as different, and it’s what unites us as one very unusual species. Unlike every other living creature, we have created this world of skyscrapers, Jack the Ripper walks, ice lollies and bank notes. When it works creativity brings us joy – and smart phones. When it fails it hurts - manuscripts are rejected and pavlovas flop. Creativity is what we do. Forever in perpetual creative motion, forever remaking our world. Why? Why are we like this, why are we such a creative bunch? Where does this thing called creativity come from? Why is it such an emotional experience? Why do some of us feel we can’t do it? How can we be better at it? David Eagleman, neuroscientist, will meet accomplished creatives from across the arts, film & television production, the sciences, business and education to hear stories that inspire and demystify the process.
