For this adventure, Lara recruits her ex-partner - Terry Sheridan (Gerard Butler) - a dangerous mercenary who has previously betrayed Lara and their country. She knows he's the best for the mission, but can she trust him again? Join her as she races through furious hand-to-hand battles, blazing shoot-outs and breathtaking sky-diving escapes to try to save the ancient artifact...and mankind's future.

All you could want in an action flick

It never ceases to amaze me how out of touch the "professional" critics can be with the general movie watching public. Is this CITIZEN KANE, of course not. Is it a very entertaining 2 hours ? You bet it is.

Most people aren't coming to watch this to have some complicated erudite movie. The action is good, plot interesting and fast paced. I am a Lara Croft fan and I thought she did an admirable job. One of the few good video game to movie adaptations. So just sit back and let yourself enjoy it without picking it to little pieces. It is not everyone's cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Just my two cents.

I love the Tomb Raider 2 game. That was enjoyable, and mostly, a challenge. This movie, on the other hand, was not the same story. Angelina Jolie is great as Lara, but it seemed like she sleptwalk in a few scenes. It's almost like she put no real devotion to her character like she did in the first film. Plus, I don't really like Gerald Butler. He was good in 300, but he just makes no big importance in the film industry. The two characters Bryce and Hilly did not have a big role in this film, so that was a bummer. Plus, you just tried to sit through it thinking, "When is she ever going to find Pandora's Box?" It had it's cool moments, but it wasn't as great as the first movie.

Angelin Jolie and Gerard butler are two of my favorite actors so both of them together kicking butt was just amazing! Way better than the 1st one so it's one of my favorite movies

It didn't freakin finish loading the darn thing is missing the last half an hour of the movie and I freakin paid for the damn I am so pissed

This may be worth a rental. If you are looking for a typical Action/Adventure movie. The special effects are okay, but the main character still lacks credibility. The action sequences are top notch, but still exaggerated to a large degree. Rent it, do not buy.
