Did not like this film. Robin Wright Penn is amazing. That said, the world does not need this film. This is a film so full of human failure that one is lost in the horror of its narrative. Give it a pass. I wish I had.

Penn and Oh.... I expect better from you. Even when the money is scarse, you two need to chose better projects. Skip.

This one is pretty brilliant. I didn't expect at all the twist, and having travelled to the middle east I liked how somebody finally brought two characters, one from middle east and one from the Post-911 USA, to figure out who is craziest at the end of the day. Also, i cannot forget to mention the New York City element of this movie, which is that life in the city can be so very alienating, lonely, and people get lost in there, left behind. I don't know how else to explain it, but this movie articulates many things I have felt and though but cant put it into words. Again, very good film/

I can't really say too much without giving anything away, but this was a really great film. You know how when you are watching some movies and you keep checking your watch? Well, this is NOT like that...time totally slips by and you feel like you just sat down to watch it when it ends! Don't read too many reviews about this, just watch it, because you don't want to know what is going on until you've already seen it. The surprise and tension are the best. The acting is fantastic...everyone is great and very real. The story is compelling and the way it is presented makes it even more so. Plus, on itunes this film is a bargain. When I checked amazon it was a lot more expensive. iTunes: $9.99 and amazon: $21.99. That pretty much makes up for having to buy your own DVD to back it up on and stuff. $9.99 is still pretty steep, but oh well. Someone should try to convince apple they'd sell a lot more if movies were $2.99 or $3.99 instead! :) Anyway, I highly recommend this film. See it thru itunes or on DVD, but just see it!

This movie has a very stark feel to it. There's none of the flashy cinematography, perfect lighting, perfect sound quality, grandiose score etc that you find in big budget mall-movies, but strangely, that makes it better. The simplicity of the execution makes you feel like you're actually in the scenes with the characters, and as the story progresses, this lack of separation becomes genuinely uncomfortable. You actually feel like you're in the room as one of the characters decends into madness. Not the over-the-top Hollywood caricature of madness, but real "the-person-sitting-next-to-you-is-clinically-nuts" kind madness. I can't say that I "liked" this movie (not a feel good story) but it is powerful, creepy, very well acted and definitely keeps your attention

The acting is superb. The plot is more myth than verite, but like all myth it reveals more of the truth than CNN does.

This movie will blow your mind. Robin Wright Penn and Abdel Kechiche are extraordinary and Jeff Stanzler is definitely one of our most underrated filmmaker working today. It has everything, politics, real human emotion and yet it plays like a suspenseful thriller.

The intentions of this movie are hidden very well, and all the while, the story builds momentum right up to the climax. It’s a film that leaves you thinking and has a bizarre twist that nobody will see coming. The dialogue feels natural to the point of improv, which also greatly works to its advantage. The conclusion will most assuredly leave you speachless (only for 10 minutes or so), then keep you talking about it for hours after.
