Description

    I watched this a long time ago and it was good - violent but a good flick. Once I learned that this was a remake of the classic John Wayne western The Sons of Katie Elder, the film seemed to take on a greater gravitas. Knowing the original, I could match up the scenes and the characters and it became more than just a story but more like an epic. It is definitely a seriously violent film but ultimately satisfying. Regardless of the low rating by the Tomatoes couch potato fringe, this really is a great film.

    This movie is about four adopted brothers who seek to avenge the death of their mother. It is also well written and delivers good action scenes. Most of all though this movie pays homage to a buch of other movies in different ways. When those movies come together, they make Four Brothers.
