Not a likable character in the bunch in a fairly implausible story where DiCaprio whines his way through the whole movie. A low point for Boyle.

I have loved Leo's work in most of his films... but this is not one of them. The script is so cliche and childlike, I feel as though I'm watching a MTV movie with a low budget. It's sort of an original plot, but I'm sure i thought of this when i was daydreaming in class. I guess it's okay to rent, but wouldn't recommend buying it.

I was actually shocked that this movie didn’t get better reviews, the movie was very entertaining. Scenery was beautiful, the acting was great and the story was so different and unexpected... I think thats what i liked most about this film and most of Danny Boyle’s Films, that he picks stories that have an unexpected twist or a shocking turn that makes you drop your mouth or widen your eyes because of its uniqueness.

This movie is unique and entirely original. The appeal is for anyone with a desire for adventure and seeking something truly original. What a small trio of friends search for, has already been found by a small colony of adventurers who end up creating a small utopia where the only rules are to keep their paradise a secret from the rest of the world. The movie really sets itself apart from the scenery to the cool soundtrack. iTunes please bring the soundtrack back!!! Love snake blood!

I don't know why this movie got so many negative reviews. Almost none of them mentioned the incredible acting of Leonardo diCaprio, which is definitely one of the driving points of the movie. Even without the fantastic acting, the movie was worth watching just for its extraordinary, inspiring scenery. Though the ending was a little more violent than expected, considering the movie's relatively placid first half, the movie was a gorgeous, beautiful and stunningly made tale about lies and humanity's desires for adventure. For anyone struck by wanderlust (or appreciative of more Titanic-Era diCaprio) this was a beautiful movie.
