Description

What will it sound like when you die? In "One Missed Call," a chain of people receive terrifying cell phone messages of their own final fatal moments. Though the messages can be deleted, their number is up. Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) is traumatized when she witnesses the gruesome deaths of two friends just days apart. Even more disturbing, she knows that both of them had received chilling cell phone messages -- actual recordings of their own horrifying last moments. Impossibly, the calls were received days before they died, but each death occurred precisely when and how the messages foretold. The police think Beth is delusional -- except for Detective Jack Andrews (Edward Burns) whose own sister was killed in a freak accident that bears a strange similarity to the deaths of Beth's friends. Together, Jack and Beth work feverishly to unravel the mystery behind the ominous calls. But even as they get closer to the truth, Beth's cell phone begins to ring with an eerie tune, and the readout says One Missed Call...

The movie is okay... however when i rented it it was very buggie and the frame would stop at random points. i dont know if this had happened to anyone else but i think it is something to keep in mind.

It was a fairly decent adaption of the very good Japanese horror film "Chakushin ari", at least in my opinion. What I think a lot of people seem to miss is that the original film was more of a parody of films like "Ring" or "The Grudge". "Your cell phone sends you messages of your own death." How ridiculous of a plot does that sound? While it does have a general lack of originality or jump scares, it makes up for that by a fairly decent cast, unique deaths, and general discussions of the topic of emotional and physical abuse. Some scenes are a little tacky, but doesn't that happen in nearly every movie or show? It's your own opinion whenever or not to watch this movie, but I highly recomend ignoring the opinions of those around you and giving it a viewing yourself. Who knows: you might just like it.

Big horror fan, and I'm the type to always finish a movie no matter how bad it is. The story line moved so slow I kept falling asleep in the movie theater! Re-watched it again later and found I didn't miss a thing. Sad.

Well, when I was watching this movie. I was talking to the characters during the movie. I was yelling at them to "THROW THERE PHONES AWAY!!!!" I mean if this was happening to me,I would pick up my iPhone and throw it into the pool. My poor black iPhone four😒 But yay,it was a pretty good movie besides that. I am only 12 but I think u should rent the movieπŸ˜ƒ

This movie was scary. But only a crazy director would make a horror movie about cell phones. This would never ever happen to anyone. The ringtone and aliens are really creepy! Some parts scared me, but I thought they could be more artistic with some of the scenes. It was ok, but it's just another japanese messed up horror film. Rent it.

I covered my eyes through most of it and that's what scared me the most! it is a really good movie in my opinion but I'm 12 so what do I know! I really want to watch it again with out covering my eyes so I will see what actually happens instead of having it linger in my head and the scariest thing to me no one else remembers! Oh well hope this helped πŸ˜„
