Description

In 1692, in the Ipswich Colony of Massachusetts, five families with untold power formed a covenant of silence. One family, lusting for more, was banished'their bloodline disappearing without a trace.     I love movies like this that have old tales as the basis for the movie. Although, it does lag in certain spots this movie pays off in the end. I have been waiting for a sequel since 2006 and nothing. With all the other pointless sequels we have nowadays this movie proves that a sequel would be just as good, if not better! #thecovenant #thecovenantsequel #makeithappen

    I’m not really sure why IMDB rating says 5/10 because I really liked this movie, should’ve been near the top for magic. Everywhere else though says 4/5 stars. They could have done a better job though by displaying more magic and not restricting it like Harry Potter as it had a good story. I didn’t see a light display like it showed on the title picture. What tempted me to buy this was driving the car off a cliff and falling back down like it was demonic. It was pretty cool. And I liked the teenager cast. This movie is CLEARLY in the wrong genre, it did not scare me at all.

    As with many movies and television shows in the vampire, werewolf and warlock/witch crazed age of obsession, this movie stands out as one that could have gone on to have a sequel or tv spin off. Yes, The Secret Circle tried, but was a little to tame and not allowed to grow into the darkness of a fantastic second season that could have allowed for The Covenant to have a second film. The story line was inspiring at times and the acting tense, but what sci-fi junkie is going to turn down hot guys and gore.

    I’ve only watched it probably a thousand times lol. Wish they would have kept it going an made a part 2 the ending left me wanting more.

    So I mainly watched for Sebastian Stan, but I really got sucked into the movie. The story and acting was good. However, we should have learned more about certain (important) topics in the movie. It ended up leaving me with a lot of questions than I thought it would.
