Description

Sunday dinner at Mothers Joe's (Irma P. Hall) is a mouth watering, 40 year tradition. As seen through the eyes of her grandson Ahmad (Brandon Hammond), love and laughs are always on the menu, despite the usual rivalries simmering between his mom Maxine (Vivica A. Fox) and her sisters Teri (Vanessa Williams) and Bird (Nia Long). But when serious bickering starts to tear the family apart, the good times suddenly stop. Now it's up to Ahmad to get everyone back together and teach them the true meaning of soul food.

    This is 2020 and there’s still no soundtrack to be found on ITUNES. The movie still holds up though. Never gets old.

    I do not understand how the movie is on here but not the soundtrack and accompanying music video. Same goes for New Edition and most R&B groups from the last 80’s and 90’s come on. BMU video? Apple, I thought this was about making money.

    The movie was ok but where is the SOUNDTRACK??? Please find a way for us to purchase it, this soundtrack was off the hook...especially En Vougue's "You Are The Man" which is also not available on iTunes.

    I am a movie junkie and it's so hard to say exactly what's my all time favorite movie, but this one is definitely in the running. I can watch this when I'm happy or sad and know that I'll feel good no matter what come the end. It's all about life, love, loss, joy and pain. The dynamics are so true to life and every character played their role exceptionally. I wish our black films were still as powerful as Soul Food and so many other 90s classics.
