Before this film, he appeared in Sudden Death (Somewhat like Die Hard), I gave up on him....but this film made me have hope for him. Some new style came about, was not sure what it was but I ended up watching it. Not too good, not too bad, but it could have used some work.

This was different for Jean Claude, yeah it's an action movie but it has the suspense and mystery which made it an awesome adrenaline ride from start to finish

And yes I have seen them all. This one is different then the others because VD isn't putting on a show...he is just deadly. No spinning back kicks (that I can remember) just cool calm and collected fighting. The characters he portays in other movies I feel like I could fight and be alright but not this one (or Alex in Double Impact) I'd get jacked.
