An unstable Gulf War veteran with a savior complex receives a shocking wake-up call upon returning stateside and accepting a position with the Department of Homeland Security.     As an Army/OIF Veteran who lives in Southern California and who tried to be a cop, I can testify that David Ayer's Harsh Times story, dialogue and characters are legitimate and I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is a realist and who can appreciate authenticity.
