Good actors

What little action this film has, is ruined by atrocious special effects, set design, dialogue, and plot.

This whole movie is dumb. A ship that capsizes usually sinks within a few minutes to a couple of hours depending on how many holes it has in it. This ship would have a lot of holes, and theres NO WAY it would stay afloat for a whole day. To top that off the next day the survivors get into a gunfight in an upside down ship. It has some good action, but there are far better movies than this one to satisfy that taste.

When I first watched the movie I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't much, bit it was enjoyable. The young elevator operator that rescued Peter Boyle's daughter is none other than a very young Mark Harmon. That made the movie even better in my eyes. I enjoyed it, I hope that others can give it a chance to surprise them.

A sequel like this movie was bound to fail. It was more succesful than I expected, but to be honest it's not worth the money. This movie was not meant to have a sequel it ended perfectly in the first one, why continue?

unlike the other 3 idiots who reviewed this, i will give a REAL review, fans of the original Poseidon Adventure should like this movie but of course it isnt better than the original, watch the orginal first and then this, NEVER watch the remake!
