Description

    Basically an update on Pinocchio, with Jim(iny Cricket) wasting no opportunity to teach Huck how to be a real boy. Jason Robards, Hagrid, and Hellboy do spice up the proceedings a bit, but it's still a hamfisted, Disney-fied adaptation.

    The movie is a nice hollywood version only worthwhile if you have read the book. The most important life changing moment in the story, the turning point in Huck's development is left out of the movie. Sad. Twain and Huck deserve better.

    ITunes finally has this movie! I wish you could buy it, instead of just renting it. Elijah Wood did such a great job portraying Huck Finn. I highly recommend it.
