Description

Darby O'Gill (Albert Sharpe) is a man with the Irish gift of gab who finds himself face-to-face with the magical little people, the leprechauns, in a Disney classic. Unexpectedly, one of the old storyteller's tall tales comes true when he captures the King of the Leprechauns, who must grant him three wishes. Unfortunately, all the wishes backfire in amusing, and sometimes frightening, ways.

  • Voices changed!

For some crazy reason the voices have been changed! I’ve watched this movie my entire life. One of the best parts of the movie is the thick accents that have been watered down by imposters. I want my money back Apple and an explanation for ruining a classic.

It's a good movie but I remember being creeped out by it as a child for some reason, so I wouldn't recommend it for small children.

Bought this last year and was disappointed that it was the alternate soundtrack with dubbed voiceovers for Darby and Mrs. Sugeru…. BUT, as of this writing, the version I downloaded today is the original and I am overjoyed. Thanks apple for posting the better version!!!

  • THANK YOU FOR MAKING CLASSIC DISNEY FILMS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE!!!!!!!

I recently had an issue with an audiobook I purchased, iTunes was exeedingly gracious and quick to resolve the matter. In reviewing the events of that situation I came across an old review I made on another classic Disney film echoing many others of the disappointment that the films were only available for rent. iTunes obviously listens to their customers!! Very rare in this world today... THANK YOU APPLE!!! All of this led me to search for probably the hardest movie of this era to find... and of course it's here and ready to purchase! Now to the film, this is by far my favorite of the older Disney films. Awesome nostalgic rush to watch it again, these movies are hard to find. Too many things to rave about in this movie, but a young Sean Connery is definitely a trip to watch, especially the scene where he his singing with Janet Munro. The scene with the dark coach used to scare me as a child.. I get a bit of a laugh watching it now. These films are from an era when Disney still had a grand sense of magic about them, I miss those days and it is a true pleasure to relive the memories of the glory days of Disney. Thanks again to the team at iTunes for the great customer service, and the willingness to listen to all of your customers!

I love love love this movie. However, this version of the movie seems to have been redubbed. The Irish accents may have been put on a little thick in the original, but that's what gave the movie its real charm! As a child I totally understood it, or if I didn't, I watched it again and again to get every word! The dubbing is so bothering me because I know exactly how the voices and laughter should sound like. Too bad.
