Description

Rising star Josh Duhamel (TV's Las Vegas) leads a group of young backpackers who find themselves stranded on a remote Brazilian beach, an exotic paradise with warm sunshine, cool ocean breezes, and plenty of hot bodies. But, after a night of partying, the wayward turistas are drugged and robbed, and their dream vacation becomes a gruesome nightmare. Trapped and desperate, the vulnerable travelers are lured deep into the menacing jungle and beyond, where a dark and twisted fate too terrifying to imagine awaits.

After being drugged and robbed....a poor local takes them for a 10 hr. hike through the jungle to a mansion. What a predictable stupid movie. I want to meet the person(s) who green lights these movies!
  • More successfully thrilling than sadistically horrific

I thought Turistas might be mostly stupidly gross gore but was pleasantly surprised to find a thrilling storyline supported by good acting with enough horror factor thrown in to make the thrill very compelling. So: Fans of horror-thrillers will probably really enjoy--you'll be okay if you can take the bit of disturbing imagery. Fans of sickly sadistic torture-horror might think this is too tame for their twisted tastes--W.A.T.P.?
  • HORRIFIC

Given Our Current Standing in the World as the Big Bully that Lies, Cheats & Steals Whatever IT Needs, It's Only Natural that a Xenophobic Paranoia Would Ascend to the Forefront of the World Psyche. This Movie Capitalizes on our Innate Fear of that Which is Foreign and Unknown. It Also Illucidates Exactly How Vulnerable we Can Be When Travelling In Uncharted Territory! The Movie Does not Strive for Any Kind of Artistic or Cinematic High Ground, However, The Material is Brought to Life as Well as Can Be Expected. The Movie Really Scared me & Left a Lasting Impression that Makes me Wish I Never See it Again! I think that is the Highest Praise One Can Give a Movie in this Genre!
  • It is almost like I still know what you did last summer.

I have seen parts of it and it looks kinda dumb. And I have already seen I still Know What You did Last summer, and this looks exaclty like it. killing spree, drunk teens, killing on a vaction, a lot like other horror movies.
