Description

Directed by Spike Lee from a screenplay written by James McBride, the author of the acclaimed novel of the same name, the film chronicles the story of four African American soldiers who are members of the U.S. Army as part of the all black 92nd Buffalo Soldier Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy, during World War II. They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy. Miracle at St. Anna explores a deeply inspiring story that transcends national boundaries, race and class to touch the goodness within us all.

    Miracle at st Ann is the best WW2 movie I have ever seen. It is my favorite spike lee film. I have never seen a movie we’re it’s about black soilders only this is brilliant.

    I don’t understand why people trash this movie... I think the acting was very good. It is a longer movie, but it’s a big story. The ending makes me cry half the time. I too believe in miracles.

    The war movie includes what people were going through as the different person and action packed full of real props as well, yup those nazi jeeps were the real deal.

    Outstanding movie! Overall, this movie didn't do so well at the box office, but I am sure it will continue to be a renter's choice. Spike Lee did an excellent job directing this historic event despite some Italians lashing back on how Hollywood made the St. Anna tragedy flashy. Hollywood has to be Hollywood, but this movie was an eye opener and tear jerker. Will buy this movie and add it to my library.

    When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I thought it' was going to be a pretty good movie. I was right for only the first 10 minutes of this movie. The movie seemed to drag on and on with pointless sub-stories that didn't really add up to the end of the movie, these sub-stories were added in randomly and didn't make sense. On top of that, the acting was terrible, the actors playing as soldiers weren't believable (i know because I have seen enough war movies and talked and listened to a lot war veterans about war movies, to know what 's believable). While the plot might have been a good one, the writers and director failed at this story.
