Description

In the tumultuous aftermath of the Civil War, Union Calvary officer John Henry Thomas takes his heroic men west while southerner James Langdon takes his soldiers to Mexico.     This film doesn't have much of a point. Hudson's actions make little sense at the start and Wayne's actions don't make much sense at the end. The story could have had a far better resolution. The humor was forced. It was just a paycheck for those involved.
