Well done!

I'm a big fan of Yul Brynner's work. Cinematography is superb unfortunately I only recently saw this and was happy with the work done on this movie. Although some of my friends would say now that they should have used more people of that region to act, it was an unfortunate truth that some of accents would be so strong that not many actors would have been understood and feel comfortable to the task of speaking English so getting those that would were a rarity just as they are now even though now many are branching out, but for its time it did quite well and showed respect to the Mayan culture. The reality is it is not often the case even today. So I say I clap my hands to all who had a hand in the film and say, "Well done!"

In its day it was a fun movie. Most of the actors belong in a Beach Blanket movie. I first saw it in Mexico while living there and everyone loved it then. Today, it would not get high ratings. I give 4 stars for nostalgia.
