Description

When Grace Beasley's (Academy Award-winner Kathy Bates - "Misery," "About Schmidt") husband (Academy Award-nominee Dan Aykroyd - "Ghostbusters," "The Blues Brothers") leaves her, she travels to Chicago for a concert by the one man she has adored for years, Welsh singing star Victor Fox. But when Fox is murdered by a serial killer known as The Crossbow Killer, a devastated Beasley travels to London for Fox's funeral. There she encounters Dirk Simpson (Golden Globe-nominee Rupert Everett - "My Best Friend's Wedding," "The Next Best Thing"), who has secretly been Fox's lover for twenty years. Now, these two damaged people with nothing in common other than their love for Fox travel to Chicago--determined to bring his murderer to justice.

    No one I know has ever heard of this movie. I happened to find a press kit copy in a second hand store. The alternate endings and deleted scenes are priceless! Julie Andrews ended up on the cutting room floor?!? That's how good this movie is.

    Kathy Bates shines in this really fun movie filled with interesting characters. It’s a bit over-the-top, but it works and the film puts me in a good mood. I watch it all the time.

    What a wonderful movie, Kathy Bates is great, as are all her co-stars. This is an above average make you feel good kind of movie. The soundtrack is awesome...my only disappointment is not finding it on Itunes.

    Love this movie. Kathy Bates and Lynn Redgrave did a great job. Rupert Everett handsome as ever was funny in this movie. I watch this movie over and over, enjoy it each time.

    I love this Movie, especially because I'm a huge Kathy Bates fan! The dynamics between all the characters and the sterotypes are funny but heart felt. It makes you realize that you life is too short to settle for just OK. I have searched high and low for two of the songs contained in the movie: Blanket of Stars with Jonathan Pryce & Kathy Bates and Somewhere Over the Rainbow sung by Jonathan Pryce.
