Betrayed

I love this movie. I am white and live in the Midwest. I am not ashamed of it either. I am not a racist. I agree with film fan. As far as the movie...it’s realistic from some things I’ve seen over the years. It’s super scary to realize you may have some good friends- even family that you think you know and then one day you find out nothing is what it seems. Given just the right circumstance a persons true feelings sometimes come out and shock you. Tom Berenger is such a loving parent and family man, hard worker and no wonder Debra Winger falls in love with him. She plays her part well as she does in everything. Then we see the true personality of Mr. Berenger come out and how such a wonderful family man can be such a sick racist bigot... should amaze you but the sad part is there are plenty out there just like him but difference being that many are just more open today about it and too ignorant to be ashamed.

To the guy next to me, you dont have to be ashamed if you're white and midwesterner... I am. You only have to be ashamed if you are a racist. Usually only the racist ones write the kind of comment you wrote. So maybe you are feeling it a bit??
