The Curse of Frankenstein

I love this movie so much, more so because of the way they used the doctor's persona and the monster. The monster is not really evil, yet the doctor is. Very interesting take.

A different version of the mad doctor and the Monster, but a decent film. Christopher Lee is one ugly monster, but Boris Karloff was the man, I mean monster.

This is the best of the Hammer Frankenstein films. I love it. Christopher Lee makes for a great Frankenstein monster. Also, Peter Cushing does a unique and somewhat disturbing version of Doctor Frankenstein. I love it. So, check it out. Apple, WTH?! I was going to figure out how much in total the Curse of Frankenstein, Horror of Dracula, and The Mummy (1959) were. But, you pulled the mummy off of the shoping list. Why? Was there some defect in the video? I mean, what the Hell?! Please reupload them so that I could pay for the movie.

Hurray for iTunes for offering these Hammer classics. This is a great film, and it's understandable that it launched not only so many successful sequels, but also Hammer's establishment of its own unique sub-genre of horror -- as well as its own decades-long franchise based on the Universal classics. Peter Cushing is brilliant and always just fantastic to watch. If you're unfamiliar with Hammer horror, yet a fan of classic film-making, you'll likely love the unique experience these films offer. If you're already a Hammer horror fan, you'll love the outstanding quality of this transfer. The Technicolor is vibrant and the audio is crisp. I also recommend the sequel.

I'm glad they are releasing more of the Hammer films. This movie is not only one of the best Hammer has made, it is one the best Frankenstein films ever! The only movie that surpasses it is the original with Boris Karloff.
