  • A MUST FOR FANS OF TRUE CHINESE MARTIAL ARTS FILMS!

LOVE this film! All the negative reviews are the white folk who have no idea what true asian martial arts embodies---mind, body, spirit. As a practioner of AIKIDO, SILAT, & KRAV MAGA I can totally relate to the heart of this film. On top of all the great action, the soundtrack was excellent, some meditative such as THE LAST SAMURI and some hard hitting like BOURNE IDENITY blended perfectly with the scenes. im useing some of the soundtrack while training and it is mind blowing! KRISTIN KRUEK & MOON BLOODGOOD totally smoking sexy, hot, beautiful. how can you not fall in love with kristins smile & eyes, amd not want to bang MOON ?! ONE OF MY FAVORITES

Despite what people say, I liked it. Spoken cameo by Ryu, I know... But it's the legend of CHUN-LI people. The fight scene with Vega cracked me up. "You b****..." The acting was good... I don't see why people don't like the movie.
  • Awesome movie!!!

Despite the bad reviews by Rotten Tomatoe( since when are they ever right anyway?) and some other reviews, it's actually an awesome and really great movie to watch! And my review is unbiased since I saw this at summer camp once and haven't known until now that it's related to a video game. This movie is awesome with a good storyline, great actors and with some amazing action scenes! Totally worth ten bucks in my opinion if you want to own it. Well, if you like martial arts fighting and some heart-felt scenes. :) :D
  • Horrible Movie...

Bad acting, cruddy stunts, stupid plot holes.... this movie has it all. This has got to be one of the worst movies I've seen in a while... as a matter of fact, Dragonball Evolutions is considerably better than this... They messed up Chun Lis story! I had no idea that Bison's evil plot in SF was to buy land... The writers must have been high because Bison, who says that he lived in China all his life, has an Irish accent...last time i checked, you CANNOT inherit an accent, and even if so, Bison is NOT irish. Kleins acting is the worst... I kid you not. And Ryu, Ken, and Akuma make no appearance besides a spoken cameo.... but heres the worst part... they MISPRONOUNCE Ryu's name! How can you base a movie out of a franchise and not know how to even pronounce the names? This movie makes Van Dammes movie look like gold!
  • If you like chun-li then buy otherwise just rent

Ok IT IS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE A STREET FIGHTER MOVIE, I know the disappointment about the plot and missing characters, but it's more of a movie under the street fighter franchise. Hence the title Street Fighter: LEGEND OF CHUN LI. It's ok not great some bad acting, mainly by the cop guy, but the main actress was pretty good and was the right ethnicity and I think she did the part justice. The movie started well then fell flat half way through, but it's not the main characters fault, it's more of a catwoman/Elektra issue. The person who wrote the script DID NOT read or understand the street fighter universe and basically used the names and concepts of certain characters and then went off on a tangent. SOOOOOO much potential and I love chun-li I guess if you like that character buy the movie and watch it for fun and don't take too serious, but it had good fighting moves and Lui Kang from Mortal Kombat is in it XD which made me like the movie more because he fit his role well as the master Gen.

Okay I speak for all Street Fighter fans. Where on earth is Ryu and Ken??? They are the main stars of Street Fighter! Now on to the real thing of the movie. The actors/actreses were stupid. They actually need people who look like the characters, the acting was over dramatic fight scenes were dumb and why would they use Taboo to play Vega!!??! Man listen I love the Street Fighter series and grew up with it but this is sad. If they are going to make a Street Fighter movie get some of the characters that people love; and a good director!

That's an actual quote from the bad guy. Now, keep in mind he had to go through a gruesome ritual to rid himself of his conscience to come up with this, but his dastardly plot is to bulldoze the slums of Bangkok and build new houses.

I love to geek out, and I have no problem letting my nerd herd flag fly proudly, but this is just horrible. If you absolutely have to see it, renting will save you $9.
