    Definitely one of the best movies ever made...the movie is quite a bit older than me but heartwarming and really a very moving story. Perhaps not for the eager sex/violence/profanity movie lovers of the 21st century, but anyone who truly loves a great story will enjoy this one. Robert Donat is utterly charming and convincing as the beloved English schoolmaster who influences and guides the lives of hundreds of boys who come through his classroom over the course of 50 years. Greer Garson is superb as the lovely, gentle woman who captures his heart. In my opinion this one is far superior to the 1969 remake with Peter O'Toole.

    This film is bitter-sweet love story between a shy school teacher and a self confident woman who teaches him to believe in himself. It was a classic in its time and is still quite enjoyable to watch.
