Description

Terminator Salvation (Director's Cut) contains explosive additional footage not shown in theaters. The year is 2018. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation. The world is on the brink of the future that John Connor (Christian Bale) has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past. As Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught--to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.

  • Why R?

I haven’t seen this movie, I’ve only seen the original version, but if the original is PG-13, why would you rate the Director’s Cut R? It may have a little more explicit content, but I think if you give a movie a certain rating, the Director’s Cut should stay true to the original movie. Again, I haven’t seen this version, but since the original is rated PG-13, I disagree with the R rating.

Would've been nice if there was some acting involved... the characters left me cold. Christian Bale really got on my nerves after the first few minutes.

At first, I heard many negative reviews about this film. Some people just could not accept a Terminator film without Arnold. However, I finally convinced myself to see the movie. I'm glad I did. The plot, as a whole, was very engaging and I enjoyed learning more about the war before John Conner became the commander of the resistance. The new actors did a commendable job extending the "Terminator" universe. I purchased the film and hope you do too.

I liked the 1st, 2nd, but not the 3rd one so much. I do like the 4th one.
  • Better than the last Terminator movies

If you are a fan of the last three Terminator movies, you gotta watch this you wont be disappointed. I'm not into gnarly violence scenes but this is enough for me to handle. And no more Arnold Schwartzenegger hahahaha !
