Description

Academy Award®-winners Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs) and Benicio Del Toro (Traffic) tear up the screen in this action-packed thriller. Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro) is lured back to his family estate to investigate the savage murder of his brother by a bloodthirsty beast. There, Talbot must confront his childhood demons, his estranged father (Hopkins), his brother's grieving fiancée (Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada) and a suspicious Scotland Yard Inspector (Hugo Weaving, The Matrix trilogy). When Talbot is bitten by the creature, he becomes eternally cursed and soon discovers a fate far worse than death. Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, The Wolfman brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Watch the never before seen unrated version.

This was a great movie! I bought it and I keep watching it over and over again. Wasn't disappointed in the slightest. Can't imagine why anybody would have something to say against it.
  • A great remake

The cast and effects were all there. The only things missing were the director and editor. Poorly executed.

The Werewolf appears to be too generic but it was a great movie anyway.

Sincerely great movie, incredible effort, beautiful film with an endearing sound track on the order of Steiner, Korngold and Tiomkin. Sometimes you wonder why so-called critics can't appreciate this incredible film. If you love Hopkins, he is at the very pinnacle - stunning performance. I have watched this movie 20 times and each time the production design detail grows. And to have the great Max Von Sydow as a cameo adds to this marvelous experience.

This movie pays homage to the original monster movies of the past. And for that it is pretty enjoyable. They updated a movie rather than remade it. And I personally like that. Any movie with this type of cast is, especially with Anthony Hopkins, is bound to be very enjoyable. Don't watch it to seek a message or to engage in some deep thought, after all it is a monster movie. And enjoy the special effects, the carnage, and the cast. It may not be special but watch it without a critics mindset....JUST ENJOY!
