Description

US Marine Sergeant Brandon Beckett, son of legendary Marine sniper Thomas Beckett (portrayed by Tom Berenger in Sniper 1-3), is stationed in Zimbala, Africa, on a peace keeping mission working closely with the UN. German UN base commander, Hans Jaeger, sends Brandon and his squad into the neighboring war ravaged Democratic Republic of the Congo to extricate the last remaining plantation owner, Belgian Jean Van Brunt. On the mission, however, Brandon and his squad are met with fierce enemy fire from a hostile sniper, who manages to kill all of them except Brandon and Van Brunt’s daughter Kelli. A wounded Brandon and Kelli together make their way back to the UN base with the help of local big game hunter, former mercenary and friend of Van Brunt's—Martin Chandler. While recovering back at the base, the wounded Brandon gets a surprise visit from an old friend of his father, Richard Miller, whom he hasn't seen or heard from since he was 12 years old. Miller wants to get him back home and out of trouble. But Brandon doesn't want any help. He wants to find the assailant, swears to take revenge against those who set him up. Base Commander Jaeger isn't interested in tracking down the enemy sniper. Instead, he issues orders to pull all travel permits into the DRC, preparing to retreat from the area. Even attractive British Intelligence Officer Ellen Ambramowitz can't offer any help. Brandon decides he must find out on his own. Seeing his determination, Miller teaches Brandon some sniping tricks before the young sergeant secretly leaves the base. Together with Chandler, the hunter whose help he seeks, Beckett makes his way deep into rebel territory. But just when they seem to be making some head way, they're met with a big surprise...

Well, it was a lot better than I expected. I expected to see a crappy movie, esp after the first few minutes were nothing but bets on who was better at getting women(I thought we left that in high school). The storyline wasn't spectacular but the sniper action was excellent, esp when more than one sniper at a time. I think the main character's acting was pretty good as well. He fit the part. I recommend this to those who are obsessed with sniper movies, like myself.

I have watched ever sniper movie and this one is god awful. Story line is terrible and living a bullet that was right next to your heart just doesn't make sense. Do not waste your money this is a poor excuse for a sniper movie!

This to me was a very good movie. Simply put surprised and excited as the movie went on. This was very well put together, and charecters role during the movie was always in line with the plot. Not much jumping around. A little love to the story. I can certainly watch it over and over. Since i have been in the military myself for 14yrs i can relate, like the sceen were he is having dinner with the LT. confusion on how to eat at a fine dinning, after being used to ripping your meals out of a plastic container and eating with your fingers. Looking forward to seeing the Part 2.......
