Description

It's been three years since Austin Powers' (Mike Myers) last encounter with his deadly archenemy, Dr. Evil. But after Dr. Evil and his accomplice Mini-Me (Verne Troyer) escape from a maximum-security prison, Austin, that international man of mystery, swings into action for another comedy caper. Teaming up with the mysterious Goldmember, Dr. Evil (also played by Myers) hatches a time-traveling scheme to take over the world, one that involves the kidnapping of Nigel Powers (Academy Award and Golden Globewinner Michael Caine), Austin's beloved father and Englands most renowned spy. Chasing the villains through time, Austin lands in 1975 and joins forces with his old flame, streetwise and stylish detective Foxxy Cleopatra (Beyonce Knowles). Together Austin and Foxxy must find a way to save Nigel, stop Dr. Evil and Goldmember from their mischievous mayhem--and survive the dawn of disco.

  • Worst of the series.

Reused humor. Co-Star leaves much to be desired. Like acting. If a triad of the Austin Powers films were on I would change the channel after the second. Just to be honest and even Mike Myers has said it was his last one in the series. Him and his co-writers could not come up with some new content. Shame. But for 12.99 that’s $8.00 too much for it.

They used the same jokes as in the last movie, but it's still my favorite Austin Powers movie. Never fails to make me laugh.

I don't know if the mistake is on Apple's end or the content provider, but the embedded subtitles that are a part of the movie (Austin talking to Nigel & Austin & Foxy talking to Mr. Roboto) are missing. These are solid jokes that don't make any sense sans text. Apple: your mistake or not, it was bought from you, PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM!
  • Where are the subtitles?

I purchased the collection and was sad to see that there are no subtitles as it was with the theatrical release. This takes away from some of the laughs and it's disappointing. I hope this is something that can be corrected.

I love this movie, but there are scenes that are missing subtitles like the scene with Austin in Japan
  • Fix it, Apple

There are multiple scenes in this film that contain jokes centered around the use of subtitles. Unfortunately, the iTunes version of the film does NOT include these subtitles, effectively removing or ruining several jokes in the film. Apple needs to fix this.
  • Missing subtitles - Do not buy this movie on iTunes.

This movie is supposed to have subtitles embedded, for example when Austin Powers is speaking to his father in British slang and a somewhat comical translation of spoke in Japanese. While the movie has closed captioning, somehow the digitizing process for Apple lost the subtitles that come with the original movie. I have notified Apple of similar problems with other movies but I've yet to see one of them fixed. This is a great movie, but I would avoid buying this movie and perhaps the entire collection from Apple until they get it together.
