Could have been a really good movie. The two main characters were really good actors, but the involvement of the monster was rather distorted considering there was no addiction ,dominance, abuse, or psychosis of any kind in the relationship. Some type of excess needed to be developed in order to justify the beast. Just a typical complicated love story.
  • Must watch, great movie! :)

If you're thinking about watching this film but have read some "bad" reviews and are reconsidering, ignore them. I think this is such a great film, sweet and simple. I didn't expect nothing more, or anything less than what I saw. Juno Temple and Riley Keough have great Chemistry and their dialogue is great. The so called werewolf metaphor didn't really bother me, it was a bit strange, but it wasn't that bad, that's not what this film is about. So, epic story short, just watch this film and you won't regret it :)

Jack & Diane was really badly done. The storyline made no sense. The characters were not developed at all. The continuous reference to the 'beast' was ridiculous. I felt it was a waste of 9.99 plus tax.
  • Emotional Gore

Jack and Diane holds tension in both fists for 90 minutes, and wrings the gut as though there really were a monster to watch out for. There isn't. The monster is Need, Lust, Pride, Frustration-- Angst, summarily-- rather than any sort of being, but the idea is aptly wielded to capture young lesbian love in all of its violently emotional (and painfully awkward) stages. It is a sweet film, really, well acted, and gore is there, it's just. You know. Emotional gore. Worth the watch; this film handles itself in a refreshingly different nature.
