Excellent movie

I really enjoyed this movie I laughed, Cried, Got Angry all at the same daym time (lol) naw it was a really good movie… Can't understand why movies like this isn't making the movie theater…

I laughed, cried, fell in love, this is a love story that relates to real life. The movie shows the many layers to Christian Keyes and Letoya Luckett is awesome in her portrayal of a guarded single mom.

Cant wait to see.

Nice work by all the actors! Christian Keyes did an excellent job on this script/story. I love Valarie Pettiford in everything she does and she absolutely does not disappoint in this movie. Brian McKnight doesn't disappoint either...so good to see him do such a great job on screen where he clearly is very comfortable. It is so refreshing to see a quality piece of work about African American life and love without it being a poorly acted play. (Don't get me wrong, I've seen plays in the past that were good, but lately they pop up so often that you wonder how much time was spent on the story and the production.) With reality tv replacing everything (including sitcoms that showed affluent, educated African Americans) and movies being all about violence and vampires, it's good to see a story that paints a positive picture even in the trying times. Please give this movie a try...you won't be sorry. As one reviewer said, "don't judge a book by its cover." We need to have more support for this kind of funny, heart-warming, and real movie so that writers and directors will give us more of it. *I hardly ever write reviews, but I'm changing that going forward because talking about good movies like "Note To Self," especially in this age of reality tv, is of the utmost importance. Lets stop celebrating bad behavior on tv and in movies all the time, and purpose to spend more time cheering for decency, respect, and morals. Maybe then we'll see a change:)
