Beautifully acted depiction of a heart-rending love affair. At the same time happy and sad, sexy and subdued, funny and serious. Well worth watching.

A truly pleasant surprise: a movie full of nuance, of quiet and powerful revelations, made even more special by the two leads who both give intense, sincere performances (especially Mr. Messina is a standout). Would be great to see more movies like this! iTUNES, please make it available for purchase soon!

Worth every penny as it portrays the struggle of love/lust in this bountiful lifestyle of multiple partners, over-consumerism, job identity all while our true feelings and visceral, basic needs get in the way. Bravo! Fantastic acting!
  • Sexy and vulnerable

real life happening in there - the characters are realistic, very human, not perfect, lovable.. very touching scenes. loved to watch how they get closer and closer to each other.. pruds, bigotts and conservatives - avoid this movie! life is wonderful because we all make beautiful mistakes.

Relationship films that deeply explore the characters' motivations are rare and this film explores this territory extremely well. The writing, directing and acting are exactly right. Messina is especially engaging and present in the film and he is a joy to watch. The directing is smart and allows the viewer to make up their own mind as to the ethical decisions the character's make. There are no right or wrong answers presented and the director certainly doesn't spoon feed you anything (one of my pet peeves). The movie is also delicious to look at- sets and lighting are expertly chosen. The writer/ director obviously has an appreciation and instinct for relationship movies (think Cassavetes) and I look forward to what he does next.

This film is a honest portrayal of finding love when the timing just doesn't work. Life brings us to places we don't expect, and despite the plans we make for ourselves, we cannot help the love the appears in unexpected and sometimes inconvenient places. This film hits on this emotion and struggle clearly and honestly. Messina's acting is heartfelt and real. His work only serves as further justification to the success he has been having in film and television this year.

A beautiful depiction of love behind closed doors. Anyone should be able to relate.
