    Way past my teenage years when this movie came out, and a child needing 13 years before becoming a teen, this sweet movie was not on my radar at the time. Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson carry the movie with style and grace, without the triteness that often accompanies movies such as this. These are good actors. Even young Seth Green as the little brat brother steals scenes he is in. Paula Abdul does some nice choreography for this movie. Has she been in the business that long? Amanda Peterson was worth watching, and either lost interest or lost her way. RIP.

    Love this movie, it is my fave! Just saw a few scenes the other day waiting for an appointment and all the lines came flooding back. I could quote it word for word. Love it. The African Ant Eater ritual is still cool.

    Love this movie. Easy to identify with the outsider longing to be popular at any cost. Predictable, as it follows a pretty simple narrative, I still really love this movie.
