Description

The long awaited sequel to Yossi and Jagger, the tragic love story of two IDF officers serving in Lebanon. Dr. Yossi Hoffman has become a valued and dedicated cardiologist, often using his work as a way to escape from dealing with his anguished life. He lives alone, still closeted, unable to break through the walls and defenses built around him since the death of his lover. His daily routine at the hospital is shaken up by the arrival of a mysterious woman. He follows her, and through the surprising connection they make, receives a rare opportunity to deal with his trauma. Yossi then travels to the southern city of Eilat. Surrounded by the sea and sand dunes he meets a group of young Israeli IDF officers, among them Tom, a handsome and self confident openly gay man, who represents a new world, different from the one that shaped Yossi.

I loved Yossi & Jagger, but the sequel...as a mid-thirties single gay man, this movie absolutely nailed me. So sad and so hopeful. I loved it.

To anyone who might have seen first movie- Yossi and Jagar and really liked it this movie will fulfill the purpose of coming for circle. If you watch the movie with this approach you won't be disappointed, However don't Expect this to be as good as the first one, or anything like the first one for that matter (like most sequels), The thing I really liked about this movie is that the director didn't even attempt to make this movie anything like the first, Instead he went along with the notion of Enabling the viewer to see what happened to the original character 10 years later and concern with his life choices and his life path.
  • Oh Yossi...

Pure and simple…loved it. A little predictable perhaps but still a lot of heart in this movie. I understand the sort of grief that the character Yossi has been living with and how hesitant he is to love again even though that is all he wants, love. Sigh...
  • Will not disappoint!!
