Show-biz icon Liberace's tempestuous five-year relationship with a young live-in lover is recounted in all of its extravagant and flamboyant glory in this HBO Films production. Oscar(R) winners Michael Douglas ('Wall Street') and Matt Damon ('Good Will Hunting') star as the legendary entertainer and his partner Scott Thorson who lived together in Liberace's opulent Las Vegas mansion from 1977 to 1982--a time when Liberace was at the height of his popularity, but remained closeted as a homosexual. Dan Aykroyd, Scott Bakula, Rob Lowe and Debbie Reynolds co-star. Directed by Steven Soderbergh; screenplay by Richard LaGravenese, based on the book by Scott Thorson with Alex Thorleifson.

    Love this movie, it made me laugh at moments & it made me cry at others. Michael Douglas & Matt Damon were amazing, both of them deserve every award they could possibly get for this movie. The movie itself was very well made in my opinion without being too raunchy. I can see this movie over & over & not get tired of it.

    I'm at a loss of words for these actors. Mat Damon is great!!! I deserves an award for this movie. I got it just out of curiosity… hmmm Michael Douglas??? Let's see.. But I'm so glad I bought this movie! It's a must see.

    I'm glad that I decided to watch this movie :-) Michael Douglas deserves to be nominated for an Oscar. He did an excellent excellent Job. And Matt Damon, best supporting actor!!!!! It's truly a must see..... I've watched it 10 times already ;-)

    Bravissimi!!! Superb performances of a heart wrenching script. Especially impressed by Mr. Douglas's piano tperformance scenes. He was actually in the right spot of the piano at the right time. Clever to save the singing for the end. I wept. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
