Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon

Very nice special effects & acting, but some parts of the movie were kind of silly or unbelievable. Andy Lau who played Detective Dee originally was replaced by Mark Chao in this movie, but Andy Lau was a "better" Detective Dee. I got bored about half-way through the movie and turned it off. I'm enjoyed every second of this movie.. The plot was perfect

A lot is going on in this kung fu mystery. The subtitles fly by at times making it difficult to figure out the plot. But, in the end, it isn’t too difficult to figure out who the bad guys are. All in all, a fun movie to watch once.

I really liked the martial arts choreography. Although the first movie was just a bit better I still enjoyed it. The whole sea monster part was a little tacky and did not fit well with the movie. Thats the only part i fit not like. Everything else as great. Hope that they make more movies of Young Detective Dee in the future. I would suggest this to any marital arts movie lovers.

I gave this 4 stars because it's action packed, great story, and beautiful fantasy scenes that are attention grabbing. Now, I didn't give it 5 stars because the cgi was bad, the very first action scene I jumped up and checked my tv to see if it was going bad, the graphics were too cartoonish at times and unbelievable, the water looked very bad and did not blend in with the scene at all. Still, besides the cgi, this is a great movie and worth the buy if you can forgive the cgi.

Thought this was a well done fantasy movie with good action. The english subtitles went through a little fast for me but but otherwise entertaining.

the special effects are good , the cinematography great , the plot a bit of but it is a good movie to watch the martial arts are consistence over a good movie worth to rent if you like martial arts .
