Most of the people that bought or rented this movie were expecting a classic Nicholas Cage movie, myself included. The plot is great, a man that is trying to get revenge on a man the tortured him 22 years ago is good in itself but to add on to that both men are dying. Nicholas Cage's character is slowly losing his memory, it's like alzheimer's but with a much more violent and fast spread. The plot should be packed with action but started of slow, which is hard to real a watcher back into after that. The movie is meant to be a action, nothing else, but instead they decided to throw in a romance between two "elderly" people. Nicholas Cage just needs to take a second to think about the movie he is going to audition for, because let's be honest we all now he has some awesome movies out there, before jumping on every chance he gets.

Try as I might, I just couldn’t get into this movie. I finally just quit watching. Nicolas Cage is a wonderful actor, so why did he agree to be in a movie this bad? I you must see this movie, then just rent so you want be out of as much money.
  • Not The Director's Film

It has been well documented that producers took this movie away from its writer-director, Paul Schrader, and recut it, with disastrous results according to virtually all reviews. Unless a director's cut eventually surfaces, as happened with his film "Dominion: Prequel To The Exorcist", "Dying Of The Light" is not his work and should be ignored.

Cage is made to look like a cool super agent in the trailer but that the 5 min history given in to beginning. He plays and old man, burned out and has no credit with anyone he has ever worked with. Even his enemy is on his death bed. movie was slower than my grandmother with dimity. It was bad from the beginning to to end. Don’t rent , buy, or waste any money on it, what so ever. ALL of the intense parts are what you see in the trailer. Now, spread that out over 90min. and you have a slow (as sap running down a tree in the snow) movie. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!!!!

How much money does Nicholas Cage need to make where he decides to make this terrible movie? I mean he must really be strapped for cash to make this garbage. Not as bad as 3 Days to Kill since this movie did have a plot. But it was really just god awful.

it was good. Not my type of movie to cripple the lead actor. But it was a good story.

Just a B or C movie that isn’t worth the $6.99 rental fee. Poor acting, pathetic directing. Cool images of Rumania and Kenya; as a travelogue, this film might rate 2 stars.
