    Looks amazing - with subtle homages to everything from Sergio Leone to Red River to the Searchers - I love the immigrant Danish soldiers looking to make a life in the New World and the opening stagecoach scene is as good a scene in any western film. Loved it - love Mads - perhaps the most underrated actor working today (and anything with Eva Green is worth a look).

    Great western movie agree that the story is very predictable but even though you know what will happen you get stuck to it and enjoy every minute. Great actors, great atmosphere and picture. Really enjoyed it

    Mads is always my favorite in any movie or tv he does, he always brings the right kind of accepts to his roles and that is why his has been one of my favorite actors for so long and still is

    Mars Mikkelsen never disappoints but Eric Cantona and Eva Green both stood out strongly in this interesting Western. While as predictable as any other Western, the movie was really enjoyable and I actually had wished it was about 20-30 minutes longer.

  • Gritty, dark, repulsive, sad… just like history

    As painful as the violence is, or all the terrible things you know are coming… I think this is a very well done movie. There is no charm, no humor, just total revenge plot that I think was executed extremely well. I seriously think this is how life was in the wild west. If you are a fan of the series Deadwood and Hell on Wheels this falls along the same vein… but expect no laughs or jokes to balance the bitterness.
