Description

The Baker dinner table is tension-filled with looks, innuendos and tossed hair. Passing the applesauce has never been so loaded. Meet three sisters: Claire (Shannon Woodward, RAISING HOPE) who is dumped on her birthday; Sharon (Wendi McLendon-Covey, BRIDESMAIDS), the eldest and seemingly most settled; and Kendra (India Menuez), the baby and emotional one. They can’t seem to ever get along but are brought together by the news that their father is terminally ill and wants it kept a secret from their mother.

  • Did you spy on my family or something?!

This movie could not BE more on point. So heartfelt, so witty, so genuine, and raw. I felt like I was a part of the Baker clan! I saw myself in all three sisters…a little too well actually. Did you spy on my family or something?! All jokes aside, I would absolutely recommend this film to anyone with a family. It's is an honest representation of modern relationships: near impossible, but always worth it in the end.

This movie explores, with humor and heart, why our relationships with siblings are so tangled and fraught with intensity and how they force us to reconcile who we truly are. I loved it and want to watch it again and again. --Jakki Fink

The BreakUp Girl truly comes straight from the heart. This movie is funny, with great jokes everywhere, but also has a sweet side to it that everyone can connect to. It has great writing, strong and clever actors that carry the story, and great direction. The BreakUp Girl is a must-see and will definitely stay with you.
