  • Season 3 - So Badly Done

    1

This review is to save people from purchasing Season 3. It’s so badly done. The background music is annoying and sing song. There is no suspense or intrigue. All the performances seemed to be walking and posing to look pretty. There is no substance very disappointed. For example during the birth of the twins in the book fire drake Cora pops out and all are startled. Nope no Cora not even the actors pretending to see a fire drake in the corner. Also in the book Diana during labor was more demonstrative. Nope in the show it’s all ooh ahh swaying back and forth to annoyed music. They have all the pages of the book what happened to the urgency of discovering the secrets. Nope not even hinted at. So disappointing Don’t watch season 3 it spoils the work from Seasons1 and 2.

Tried it out for 1 episode and completely fell for it. I’d never tell that to my friends, lol.
  • Apple has always sold full seasons this way.

It’s usual, and the same on other platforms I’ve used. I buy NCIS every time a new season comes out, and get emails telling me when new episodes air. Never bothered me. If you want to binge watch, wait until the whole season has been shown on air. Delayed gratification isn’t that hard! That said, this is a very good adaptation of the book, with very good casting, especially of Matthew Goode, who very closely resembles physically the vampire as described in the book. I love it!

Buying the season pass doesn’t mean you get the whole season right away, it means you get the episodes as they release. Use your brain people, you can view to see how many episodes are available before you buy.

So if you had purchased the amc+ channel and already see it the 2nd series that means the season was done and it’s just now be shown on tv because I noticed that every time it’s on tv Saturday or Sunday iTunes release the the episode the next day that’s why they aren’t releasing the whole season it’s being shown on regular tv even thou the season is done and we should be able to get whole season at once instead of waiting hope this helps
  • Starts Slow, Ends W/A Bomb!

I loved S1 and was a disappointed by the slowness of the first couple of episodes. I hadn’t expected the edginess and tension between the lead characters/supporting cast. I felt I’d missed an episode but as the season proceeded I understood Matthew’s darkness better, plus the pace picked up. The acting and cast are all established and the sets/sites are superb! I love the CG that’s utilized to show magic. The writing is excellent as new characters from Matthew’s past are interwoven expertly into each episode. A lot of foreshadowing occurs, so note details and be prepared for several surprises towards the end!
